music, film & poetry nerd.
That was a mouthful.
I don’t know why I was thinking about this today but I was. I realized that in my small, lame, town, I’ve been surrounded by the same people for years. I know too much about people I could care less about’s life because I’m forced to spend time with them on a basically daily basis. I guess what I concluded was that I genuinely love meeting new people and getting to know their minds. I want to work my way backwards with them. See who they are now, then look back and see how their past shaped them the way they are today, if that makes any sense… I feel like they could do the same with me, too and it would just be so refreshing. No expectations or prejudgements makes getting to know someone so much more real, I feel.
Moral of the ramble is that my “New Year’s Resolution”, I guess, I’m setting is to get to know a lot more people worth my time. I think adding more amazing people to the list of people I know will make 2012 a pretty rad year.
(Also it’s to cut back on my donut intake. The first one seems more realistic, though.)
